What type of therapy do I need?

The type of therapy, sometimes called the Therapeutic Modality, depends on the type(s) of concerns that you have. As part of your assessment process, you will learn about the best treatment options available to help you move beyond any symptoms and help you live the best life possible.

What is Preventive Psychology?

The old adage, a stitch in time saves nine exemplifies the power of intentional prevention - being mindfully aware of the need to look after our minds and our relationships. We take our cars in for servicing. We check our bloodwork and get x-rays of and clean our teeth. But our minds? Yes, our minds too can benefit from attention placed on making sure we are operating at our best. It is all part of Preventive Psychology.

You get to pick the mountaintop. Dr Wietfeldt is your personal sherpa: his job is to safely and securely get you to your destination as quickly as possible and help you learn to enjoy the views all the way up and down.


How long will therapy take?

The number of sessions in any course of therapy is based on a number of factors and there is no one answer. The length of therapy will be discussed in the process of getting you properly assessed.


Does Dr Wietfeldt take insurance?

Some forms of insurance, yes. Individuals who have Medicare coverage, for instance. For others who may not have specific insurance coverage, Health Spending Accounts (HSA) may be used. Also, Dr Wietfeldt provides Superbills on a monthly basis. Superbills may be submitted by patients directly to the insurer, giving the insurer all the information they need to pay the claim.
